FrenchTropicalTunaAtlas Virtual Research Environment

In the context of the Data Collection Framework, the french tropical tuna fisheries data are collected by the French Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD). From the collection to the dissemination, data are managed by the Observatory of Exploited Tropical Pelagic Ecosystems (Ob7) of the IRD. In the frame of an IRD-french Ministry of fisheries (DPMA) partenship, data are periodicaly furnished by the Ob7 to the Ministry.

There is now a demand from the ministry, but also from other partners that are frequent users of the data (e.g. scientists, fishing vessels owners), to be able to easily discover, access and visualize these data, at any time, without having to make specific data requests to the Ob7.

This VRE serves to answer these needs.

About VRE Expiration The VRE expiration date can either be extended or anticipated upon VRE Manager's request. Any of these requests will take one month to be carried out.
