NASA Earth Exchange Annual Average Suface Air Temperature Projection from 1950 to 2100 in a High Greenhouse Gases Emission Scenario (Representative Concentration Pathway RCP 8.5)

This set of NetCDF maps contains annual estimations of average Surface Air Temperature for 1950, 1999, 2016, 2050, and 2100 extracted by annually averaging 20 daily min-max temperature forecast models, downloaded from the NASA Earth Exchange Global Daily Downscaled Projections on-line repository (NEX-GDDP), in a scenario of high emission of greenhouse gases (corr. to a Representative Concentration Pathway RCP 8.5). The forecast models were merged together by averaging the annual means. Finally, maximum and minimum temperature forecasts were averaged to produce the mean surface air temperature sequence reported in this dataset.
