StatnMap, a French micro-enterprise providing tutorials and expertise in statistics, modelling, spatial data analyses and mapping for beginners or advanced users from universities, research laboratories and companies. The main field of expertise is marine and aquatic ecology. The "StatnMap_VRE" provides tools for species distribution modelling (SDM) to StatnMap’s customers and partners. SDM aims at predicting the probability of presence or the biomass of species in relation to selected environmental covariates. This VRE proposes an in-development algorithm for a forward stepwise covariates selection procedure. It compares GLM and GAM predictions through a cross-validation procedure for occurrence, density, or biomass data. This VRE is also used for the development of an algorithm for multiple species distribution modeling showing autocorrelated data within the Bayesian framework.
